It is my first time to be naked in front of two foreign men, it was quite a unique experience. We did not really get a clear explanation of why every step we went through was done but all I know is it is relaxing! We went to a Turkish Bath house recommended by a Travel Company near our hotel In Bodrum, Sultan Turkish Bath House.
What is a Turkish Hamam? As per Wikipedia "A Turkish bath/Hamam is the Islamic variant of the Roman bath, steambath, sauna, or Russian banya, distinguished by a focus on water, as distinct from ambient steam. In Western Europe, the "Turkish bath" as a method of cleansing and relaxation became popular during the Victorian era".
First thing we did was we went into the sauna room to get heated,maybe its for us to relieve stress and relax our our muscles and soothe aches from the tours we had? not sure but maybe?! So, we stayed in the sauna room for 20 minutes then went to the Turkish bath room, there were two ladies ahead of us who were naked and getting bathed and bubbled, the room was completely covered in marble featuring a big dome, several basins and an impressive Gobektasi they call which is the central round raised platform that's heated.

After a few minutes of sitting and lying on the Gobektasi, the masseuse soaked my body with warm water and lathered me with a sudsy swab (it's like they are washing a plate) At the same time, being all slippery and wet, I received a quick massage, masseuse washed me again oh Btw people are just in queue watching us getting bath. LOL
Hubby and I then went to their rooftop to get refreshment and surprisingly they got really nice rooftop view, we enjoyed the breezy sunny weather, our freshly squeezed orange juice and the overlooking view of the city at the same time waiting for our turn to get full body massage.
Overall it was an awesome Experience! Must try hamam when you are in Turkey.
