Pre-Valentines Dinner at Captain Hooks in Accra, Ghana

I dont actually get what kind of fish is this? Piranha? :D
We always see Captain Hooks on our way to Goethe Institute, Seeing a Big Fish as their logo will automatically give you an Idea they are into Seafood. I was actually curious about what this restaurant has to offer.
A day before Valentines Richard decided to go out for a Pre-Valentines dinner and we were undecided where to eat.. and he thought about taking me to Captain Hooks, Since I haven't tried it! This is his second time and its my first time.

We were greeted at the reception and promptly shown to our table. There are some who are nice at the reception and there are some who are snob and not smiling (like they dont care at all kind of look) The ambiance was good, this is actually a good spot for lovers BUT it was really warm inside when we arrived (maybe they just opened?) and  again obviously its a fish restaurant.

While waiting for our food we are served with bread and some spread

Richard Patiently waiting with a fish in his head :)

Menu is extensive with fish meat and chicken sections. But when in a Seafood Restaurant and its your first time you have to go for its Seafood! We ordered Grilled Calamrari as a starter, Richard got Red Snapper and I got the Grouper. I can say fish were really fresh and tasty! For seafood lovers looking for a sumptuous meal this is the place to go. Captain Hooks is bit pricey and the ambiance rather dull but this will all be compensated for by the delightful meals.

So our Starter arrived after almost after 30 minutes of waiting, we are quite disappointed of the serving size as this cost us 59cedis=$15 for a very little portion of Squid, but one thing for sure it tastes really good !

Grilled Calamari for 59cedis

We waited again for another 10 minutes or so,  the waiter then  approached us and said there is no more fresh potato so she offered us Chips ( Fried Potato/French Fries) instead. we got no choice soo YES.

Grouper with Chips for 85 cedis

Red Snapper with Chips for 84 cedis

THE BIIL :D

Will I recommend? Yes, for those seafood lovers who cant cook and go to the local market here in Ghana to get fish.

Will I go back? No, Steep price.
