Richard and I spent 3 days in New York and stayed at Marriott Vacation Marriott Vacation Club Pulse. Marriott just acquired it from The Strand making it the first Marriott timeshare hotel in New York City.
I was pleased with the customer service however the room are a bit small (of course you are in New York) and amenities were not well suited for Marriott owned hotel well BECAUSE it is still in the process of transition and surely there are still area in which they are still working on.
Below are some areas that we/I think they need to improve on.
-The shower had no door which led to a wet floor every-time.
-No Bathrobe
-No Bathrobe
-The room did not have a mini fridge, a coffee machine, or a microwave. (Although of the two I would have preferred the tea/coffee).
BUT It is such a wonderful hotel with a very boutique-feeling with a little bit of Marriott quality still. This hotel located in the heart of NYC and is a couple of blocks away from Times Square, Broadway, Rockefeller Center, Grand Central, Macy’s and several convenient subway stations to downtown Manhattan.
What I love about this hotel is its 21st-floor drinkery boasts a sight line of the towering Empire State Building! Really beautiful and indeed a prefect go to spot to end your long tiring day of touring NYC. I’m just not sure how reservation goes for guest who doesn't stay with Marriott but for the guest its of course a first-come first-serve basis.
